Big Mac Stabbing

not quite sure whats healthier here, eating the big mac, or getting stabbed over it:

A man was stabbed several times during an argument at a McDonald's fast food outlet in Melbourne's CBD last night. Police say the man was involved in an argument with two others over their position in a queue for food about 11:30pm.It is believed the men followed the 30-year-old man from Croydon outside and attacked him in Swanston Street near Flinders Street Station. He was stabbed three times, once to the shoulder and twice to the chest and has been treated at the Alfred Hospital His injuries are not life threatening

just terrific - i hope that extra layer of fat protected him

Tall Tales Part 2 - Stephanie

In my first Tall Tales post, i wrote about my introduction of the slightly quirky and ever so fascinating "amazon community" . The endless obsession of smaller men with tall and "amazonian" women, and the particular brand of fetishes which are associated with this fixation.

ah good old obsolete society norms

The more i read, the more i found myself interested in the phenomenon, and the more i found myself amused and with that a bit of additional digging into the phenomenon, this time with a woman by the name of Stephanie Towers - sometimes last name coincidences are just a treat aren't they? /irony
Stephanie is a 26 year old Canadian native who is now full time mom to two, lives in NJ with her boyfriend and is studying sociology and Japanese, which offcourse leads to her goal of being an air-traffic controler , an obvious career path. Stephanie is also 6'6" tall and a fledgling Internet Amazon:

Stantz: how were you introduced to the amazon scene?

Stephanie: I wasn't introduced really, I ran into it, I had no idea what i had found myself in and was a little freaked out at first. The fans found me on myspace and this site i joined to meet some tall friends - they asked me creepy questions and made odd comments. they can search by height on myspace and the other site i was on for tall friends, all the women are tall there

Stantz: how did you feel about such a prominent feature of yours, in this case you're statuesque height, being so fixated on by such a massive group of people? was it a bit odd?
Stephanie: It wasn't such a massive group then, just a few people but it was odd to start off with, now it seems normal

Stantz: did you find that having a group of admirers actually boosted your ego?
Stephanie: the attention is definitely nice but no, my confidence was pretty high to start off with.

Stantz: would you say you were always comfortable with your size?
Stephanie: not when i was going through middle school because i was a head taller than everyone all the time. Once late high school and college rolled around i was extremely confident with it. i would wear heels and always stand straight. the height hasn't factored into any personal relationships yet though, i don't want to date someone who only is in it for the height

Stantz: do you feel like youve set up your own "must be this tall for this ride" mental sign, when it comes to that?

Stephanie: no i date short guys too, just not guys with the fetish.

Stantz: is it the constant idea of "is this person with me because of my personality, because of my looks, or is he there because he somehow enjoys being towered over?"
Stephanie: yes that is why i wont date someone with the fetish because i don't know if they want me or just someone tall and could care less who, tall girls my size are on the rare side so they pretty much take what they can get is what has been my experience. i can tell who has a fetish and who doesn't after talking with them a little while, i love all the fans though, fetish or not, they are very sweet people and always respectful.

Stantz: looking around the sites and groups dedicated to amazons it seems that there are very specific interests or fetishes which are associated with the scene, some are as simple as a tall girl towering over a shorter person, to more odd activities such person lifting and what seems to be aspects of domination. , what was your initial reaction to those?
Stephanie: I love love love love to try new things so I was quite excited to find all these new aspects. The amazon world is a whole combination of fetishes and activities, it's really interested me, fascinated me even.

Stantz: it seems to me divided into 3 aspects (and please correct me if I'm wrong here because i might be) the size difference aspect, the idea of a taller woman manhandling a shorter person, and or a form of domination or at least aggressiveness i guess, did any of it make you a bit uncomfortable? or at least surprise you?
Stephanie: it actually branches out into more than those three, also asphyxiation and foot worship, fitness etc ( like to see a tall woman lifting a large weight or riding a bike etc), muscle worship etc boob smothering, and face sitting, so i guess what i am saying is feet and muscles are also a big turn on in and of themselves .

konichiwa cieling

Stantz: why do you think that is? what do you think is behind the "admiration" which is pointed at your direction and apparently branches off into so many sub-fetishes?
Stephanie: i don't know...it's the same question really as to what causes a fetish, i don't know the answer to that, and if you ask around to the guys and girls, they don't know either, they just like what they like, some can break it down to a situation in their childhood but most have no idea.

Stantz: yeai guess so , though i still think there is more to it then a personal preferences, when i first glanced at the groups and sites it seemed like a blatant "mommy issue" type of deal, but i think there is more to that, and its obvious it has to do with control, maybe because someone's larger size is always considered to be this control advantage on some primal level.
Stephanie: true,

Stantz: have you spoken with any other "Internet amazons" about the community at large?
Stephanie: i have met amazon Amanda and Mikayla Miles in person, we didn't speak extensively on the community but they have given me pointers on the fetishes and also on what to expect when i was first starting as an official amazon.

Stantz: are you currently involved with anyone? how do they feel about their partner being an "internet amazon" ?
Stephanie: he doesn't like the attention i get, would prefer i was only his but supports me just the same, and i give him credit because he does support me even though he hates it which is hard to do i know that much

Stantz: i noticed that certain fans ask about "sessions" not to sound like a complete newbie, but what are those?
Stephanie: it is personal one on one time with the fan, they see you for an hour and can compare height, be lifted, worship your feet etc, what you do in a session depends on the amazon but there is never any sex or sexual things going on.

Stantz: so actually get to live out in some ways their particular interests or desires at least for a small amount of time, I'm guessing that for them its actually a pretty great idea, I'm sure to the fan the experience is sexual, and on that note has has your interaction been with the fans? has it been mostly positive? have things ever gotten a bit creepy?
Stephanie: mostly positive, i had to kick one fan out one time but usually they are well behaved and respectful, i have really enjoyed the one on one time actually.

Stantz: do you think your experience with the community or scene, has actually had an effect on how you view yourself? you did mention being pretty positive before and confident, but you think overall it had a good effect on you?
Stephanie: I am a pretty strong person so the community has not affected how i see myself, i am pretty much the same but i have noticed that the increased interaction with the fans and people in general has made me take less shit from people so to speak. i think that might just be a growing up thing, but it might be because of the community, i am not sure

Stantz: o what are your goals now as far as being an "internet amazon" and also in general as a person?
Stephanie: s far as the Internet amazon thing, my first goal is to get this site finally running ( just waiting for the payment processing) and have fun with it. in general as a person I want to start a career in air traffic control, keep doing a great job of raising my boys, learn Japanese, and increase my fitness level

Stantz: o basically you are saying you want to control the airways, a future generation and japan and become stronger?
Stephanie: i always aim high, my fav quote is the minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for!!

Stantz: learn how to say that in Japanese

You can check out Stephanie Towers by going to her Yahoo Group, Myspace, or Site which will open shortly

here comes the bride and bride and bride ...

I knew there was a reason as to why i didnt live in Nigeria:

ABUJA, Nigeria - Police in northern Nigeria have arrested a Muslim preacher who claims 86 wives and 107 children, charging him with breaking Islamic laws governing marriage.
Authorities detained Mohammed Bello Masaba, 84, on Monday after an order from northern Niger state's Islamic court, according to police spokesman Richard Oguche. The preacher was charged with "infringing on Islamic laws," Oguche told The Associated Press by telephone from the state. It was unclear when the man would appear before the court, or what the potential punishment could be. Muslim principles forbid men to take more than four wives. Around half of Nigeria's 140 million people are Muslim, and Niger was one of twelve majority-Muslim states that adopted the Islamic Sharia criminal code after Nigeria returned to civilian rule in 1999. The move sparked religious riots throughout the country that left thousands dead.

But severe corporal punishments imposed by the Sharia courts are rarely carried out and no executions have taken place. Nigeria's secular, federal government, which controls the national security forces, has said it won't allow the most serious Sharia punishments.Analysts say Sharia was implemented for political reasons as well as religious conviction — as a show of strength by the Muslim northerners and as an acknowledgment that secular courts had failed to stem years of crime.
Nigeria has 24 other states that do not follow Sharia law.Masaba says God enables him to maintain such a large family. "A man with 10 wives would collapse and die, but my own power is given by Allah. That is why I have been able to control 86 of them," he has been quoted as saying in Nigeria's local media

Tall tales part I - Lisa

Probably the single most impressive thing about the Internet, and the way in which it has been the most ground breaking has not been online banking, tele-commuting, or even mobile communication , it has been this simple fact - no matter how odd your interest might be, no matter unique your particular fetish is, no matter what you like , there is an entire community out there on the Internet that loves the same exact thing you do to the point of obsession
And as with all things Internet-related, this pertains especially to sex.
During my normal browsing of stories, oddities , and randomness online i came across something that caught my eye , if anything because of just how simple, yet offbeat it is. This is the "Amazon Community" or "Amazon Scene"
It is composed of a number of fairly small yet specialized groups, discussion boards, and pay sites simply dedicated to extremely tall and "amazonicly proportioned women" and the group of admirers (usually much shorter men) who absolutely adore them.

yup that should just about do it

The community revolves around statuesque "Internet amazons" , 6ft+ ladies who cater to their admirer's online desires, by publishing photos of themselves in certain situations, and poses that might seem either very plain or very odd to an outside viewer such as myself yet completely thrill the amazon admirers. Some might be as simple as tall women in high heels standing and comparing sizes with much smaller men and women, lifting them around like small children (paging Dr Freud), and in general throwing their size and weight around.
To me the uniqueness of this particular fetish or sexual fixation is its absolute simplicity, sex in the traditional sense is actually the last thing on the amazon admirer's mind, instead its the relation to a woman much larger, taller and more intimidating that drives the tall women worshippers..
After a bit of snooping around i came across Lisa, a 30 year old mild mannered Canadian who lives in Hamilton , with her boyfriend of 10 years. Lisa also happens to be 6'4" tall and an aspiring "Internet amazon" complete with her own base of admirers, who worship everything about her, especially her height.

Lisa: I have a boyfriend, same guy for 10 years, no kids, we own our house . Pretty typical except for our height, hes the same height...maybe a quarter inch taller. we get stared at everywhere we go, he knows they mostly stare at me...its more acceptable for a man to be tall...when they see a women they freak out.

Stantz: speaking of just that point being a woman your height I'm sure it has factored in to alot of things from personal relationships , to general self esteem, would you say you were always comfortable with your size?
Lisa: I hated myself til I was about 23.....always teased in school always picked on by boys....i really didn't like it, but there was nothing i could do, so i learned to love it and I really do now

Stantz: I'm guessing the ability to "hide in a crowd" was never quite an option for you
Lisa: not unless I sat down! haha, people can't help but notice me...I don't vie for their attention I just get it

Stantz: it must be quite odd for someone who might have spent a portion of their life hiding from their size to find out that feature is actually a point of attraction for some. how would you personally describe the Amazon Scene and how were you first introduced to it?
Lisa: I got involved in it by accident really....I signed up to myspace.com...and filled out the info, honestly! and the people the tall admirers and such they found me! by my height listing! I had no idea...then I came across Amazon Amanda and she helped me out alot....told me to start a yahoo group and it all went from there . I think that everyone in the amazon scene, true fans, are the ones I really adore! They are a great bunch of people, supportive and encouraging. It was shocking for me to see that all these people loved me for my height! It definitely has boosted my ego a bit .so i have done some comparison and some videos for some sites and I figured I should just start my own paysite

Stantz: someone who might not be too familiar with Amazon sites and groups as i was about a week ago, might not even be familiar with what a "comparison video" is, looking around the sites and groups dedicated to amazons it seems that there are very specific interests or fetishes which are associated with the scene, some are as simple as a tall girl towering over a shorter person, to more odd activities such person lifting and what seems to be aspects of domination. , what was your initial reaction to those?
Lisa: the short guys like to see how they would measure up...so i put some heels on and stand next to a girl all of 5'2, 105lbs, and we compare size differences...hands , feet, legs, arms, and the short guys like to see how they would measure up...so i put some heels on and stand next to a girl all of 5'2, 105lbs, and we compare size differences...hands , feet, legs, arms, lifting is a world all its own that's for sure, and depends what they wanna see...baby cradle holds usually.

Stantz: what was your reaction to that? finding out what the admirers wanted to see an amazon perform , or pose a certain way? was it pretty surprising?
Lisa: I didn't think it was so strange... you don;t have to be an Amazon to be strong

Stantz: the attraction of the "amazon admirers" to the "amazon" seems to me at least to be a bit beyond personal preference, what do you think is behind the admiration?
Lisa: I think that if that's what they want to see then fine, I have no problem with anything, I am very open, I find its mostly shorter men, haha, that are attracted to it.But I have met all types

Stantz: why do you think that is? is it a need for someone unattainable , or do you think its something a bit more behind it?, since the height seems to be such a specific focus and almost obsession by some that visit the groups
Lisa: nurturing maybe? they like the fact of a big strong woman taking care of them?

Stantz: I'm probably the wrong person to ask, but i think you might be right there is something pretty Freudian about the whole thing, at least from my perspective. do you feel being involved in the amazon scene has actually had an effect on how you view yourself, and in particular your stature?
Lisa: Since I stumbled into this world, my view of myself has risen. I do feel better. And when I fell better inside the world is prettier outside! I never knew where I fit, I always always wanted to be in the spotlight i can tell ya that! And I feel I fit in and people like and admire me...guys wanna date me , girls wish they had the confidence I do

Stantz: have you spoken with any other "Internet amazons" about the community at large?
Lisa: yes I do..I chat regularly with Amazon Amanda and Mikayla Miles.....they are great girls! I want to be on their level really...one day.... they say the same...it makes you feel so good....then the world seems better too..like there is still hope ..for anyone!!! I have had nothing but encouragement from any tall girl i have met on the net

Stantz: how does your partner feel about the idea of you being an "Internet amazon" and everything that comes along with it?
Lisa: He is fine with it. He knows its really all fantasy and hes lucky cause he goes to bed every night with a fantasy girl

Stantz: and speaking of the fantasy aspect of it how have the interactions been with the admirers so far? have they been mostly positive? were there ever any "creepy" interactions?
Lisa: mostly positive...but yeah you get the creepy ones too haha...can't avoid creepy people anywhere

Stantz: so as of now what are you goals as far as being an "Internet amazon" and just in general as well?
Lisa: well, I would like my own paysite to begin with. I would like to be able to travel and meet people and be paid for it! great job eh? Snap a few pix here and there, do some comparison videos.....who knows, maybe I could have my own empire in a few years

Santz: an amazon empire, it doesn't sound like a terrible idea
Lisa: it sounds quite right to me

You can check out Lisa by going to her Yahoo Group or Myspace, she also has a paysite planned in the very near future.

Virginity For Tuition

I wonder how well this would work out for a struggling guy trying to get through college:
A major in science with a minor in whorebag
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) ― A Sacramento State grad is
trying to make money the old fashioned way, by auctioning off her virginity to help pay for her graduate studies. And so far, bidding is up to $250,000. The 22-year-old who is using the pseudonym Natalie Dylan for safety reasons is going through a legal brothel in Nevada to sell her virginity. "The main purpose of this is to finance a couple things in my life," Dylan told CBS13.
"I think empowerment of women is picking yourself up and doing something on your own to better yourself." Dylan says she's already taken a polygraph test to prove her virginal status, and is also willing to undergo a medical exam. The auction will take place at the Bunny Ranch in Carson City, Nevada with bids coming in through their website. Owner Dennis Hof tells CBS13 that eBay rejected the auction, so he'll handle the entire process. Hof says Dylan is a bright, beautiful young woman who's going to consider a number of factors in her decision because she wants her first time to be a positive experience. "Natalie is a very smart girl. All she wants to do is get her master's degree in family and marriage counseling and be a psychologist. She's selling her virginity to accomplish that," Hof told CBS13. "She's smart enough to sell it. This is empowering her."
So far, hundreds of offers have already come in including some from male virgins. Natalie says she won't give up her virginity to the highest bidder. She's also seeking other qualities from her first lover. "I'm looking for intelligence and an overall nice person," said Dylan. Hof also says Natalie Dylan ended up in a financial bind, because her stepfather allegedly used her college status to fraudulently apply for student loans, and then ran off with the money. Dylan earned her bachelor's degree in women's studies from Sacramento State and plans to get her master's at the school beginning in January. Many Sac State students say they're shocked to hear
about their former classmate's plan, while others applaud her. "She's just giving it to some random person. And I just think she should be giving it to someone special she loves," said one student on campus. While another felt that selling her virginity for grad school "is a noble reason to get money."
As for Natalie, after claiming to hold on to her virginity for 22 years (although the Bunny Ranch website claims she is 21-years-old), she says she has a commodity not many people have to sell. "When I was younger, I wanted 100%
romance, possibly even wait for marriage. But as I grew up, reality kinda hit. And I think its a capitalistic society and I want to capitalize on this," explained Dylan.

Here is another someone who might still have his virginity to sell to get through college but might have a slightly harder time:

Lets do this ladies!

Genetic Cheaters

The scientists working in Sweden's Karolinska Institute are officially geniuses. Apparently it took thousands of years, countless generations of men and the tireless trial and error testing , but they did it. They found the actual gene that causes men to cheat on their partners.
From the looks of this, i would bet someone working at the institute got caught groping a lab assistant, and the only solution to the "problem" was to invest millions of dollars in a research that linked his behavior to a gene - problem solved.

The study found a gene variant, or allele, present in cheating voles also was present in two of every five men. According to the study's conclusions, those men with the cheating allele were more prone to marital dysfunction and more likely to get divorced. Men with two copies of the allele were twice as likely as a man without the allele. The Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, studied the genetics of cheating. Researchers there said the cheating allele regulates the activity of a hormone in the brain that can affect a man's attitudes toward fidelity and monogamy. If a man lacks the gene variant they're more likely to be a devoted mate, researchers said.Karolinska Institute scientists studied more than 1,000 heterosexual couples. The researchers only looked at men because the hormone produced by the gene is known to play a larger role in men's brains than in women's brains.

The researchers also found that the gene seemed to predict whether women described their mates as close or distant, and whether the men are more likely to marry, or simply live with their mates.

So according to this study if you are a faithful loving husband or boyfriend you are actually missing a gene, there is something wrong with you , fantastic. The odd thing about this is that the gene doesn't control attraction to the opposite sex, but actually will make a man more likely to follow up on his instincts and ignore the consequences, morality and feelings of his partner. They have basically isolated the "douchebag" gene, i have never been more proud of Sweden.

Haircuts for Jesus Part 2

A little follow up to my Haircuts for Jesus post.

As with any creepy belief system there always seems to some type of profit at the end of the Jesus-like rainbow. A little change to be made off the true believer.
The rapture left-behind fundamentalist crowd seems to be no different in this sense.

And with that i bring you - YouveBeenLeftBehind.com a new level of religious profiteering.

According to the company's obscure mission statement this is what they do:
You've Been Left Behind gives you one last opportunity to reach your lost family and friends For Christ. Imagine being in the presence of the Lord and hearing all of heaven rejoice over the salvation of your loved ones. It is our prayer that this site makes it happen.

We have set up a system to send documents by the email, to the addresses you provide, 6 days after the "Rapture" of the Church. This occurs when 3 of our 5 team members scattered around the U.S fail to log in over a 3 day period. Another 3 days are given to fail safe any false triggering of the system

We all have family and friends who have failed to receive the Good News of the Gospel. The unsaved will be 'left behind' on earth to go through the "tribulation period" after the "Rapture". You remember how, for a short time, after (9/11/01) people were open to spiritual things and answers. (We are still singing "God Bless America" at baseballs' seventh inning stretch.) Imagine how taken back they will be by the millions of missing Christians and devastation at
the rapture. They will know it was true and that they have blown it. There will be a small window of time where they might be reached for the Kingdom of God. We have made it possible for you to send them a letter of love and a plea to receive Christ one last time. You can also send information based on scripture as to what will happen next. Each fulfilled prophecy will cause your letter and plea to be remembered and a decision to be made.

Well to sum it up what the fine folks at this website do is collect $40 from you, which in-turn allow you to store some personal documents , letters and such which will be then sent to your unsaved relatives while you hover up to heaven to meet Jesus and all of your old pets. Its hard to put into words just how terrible this is. Forget the fact that this is blatant praying on the ultra religious, and completely insane (that's the only part of this i sorta like), the entire concept its flawed even if it did attempt to function the way it did:

1. Are the employees of this "company" planning on staying down here on earth while Armageddon happens? i guess they only hire heathen assholes to work for them to make sure everything runs smoothly and none of the employees get ruptured up to heaven.

2. They are assuming the Internet is going to function during a cataclysmic end-times event? aren't rivers supposed to turn into blood? wars ravage the planet? explosions and all of that shit? . Well i guess google will still function so good thinking there.

3. No ability to get refund in the event this shit does not work.

4. How is this asinine operation "Rapture Triggered?" is there a special Jesus detection system they have in place?

there is so much to this that drives me completely insane.
